On Lok and Openhouse, a leading provider of LGBTQ+ senior services, have joined forces to co-design the nation's first community-based adult day program for and with the LGBTQ+ community.
Openhouse + On Lok Community Day Services (Community Day) involved LGBTQ+ seniors from the very beginning to co-design a multifaceted program, bringing much-needed services to San Francisco’s growing LGBTQ+ community.
Not your typical center
Community Day offers a safe and life-affirming space where you can be yourself, engage with your community, and find services to maintain your wellness and empower your independence.
Openhouse + On Lok Community Day Services offers:
Meals
Enjoy daily hot and tasty midday meals, snacks, and refreshments.
Care
Staff can provide you with coordinated services and help with your personal care and reminders.
Programming
Express yourself with many fun LGBTQ-themed activities to help you stay socially engaged.
Transportation
Based on need, transportation will be coordinated or provided from your home to the program, and back.

Openhouse + On Lok Community Day Services combines Openhouse’s expertise in developing and delivering services for LGBTQ+ seniors with On Lok’s 50-year history of supporting older adults to live in the community and avoid nursing home placement.
