The need for affordable, high-quality senior care has never been more urgent—and it is only growing.

In San Francisco alone, an estimated 193,000 adults over the age of 60 could benefit from On Lok PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly). In Santa Clara County, with more than 400,000 people aged 60+, nearly 64,000 are dually eligible for Medicare and Medi-Cal—one of the key criteria for PACE eligibility.

These are not just statistics. They are our parents, grandparents, neighbors, and friends—people who deserve to live safely and age with dignity in their own homes. In response, On Lok has launched Building Tomorrow Together, a bold, multi-tiered initiative to expand our reach, upgrade our facilities, and deepen our impact for thousands of Bay Area seniors.

This isn’t just a campaign. It is bold action for our communities—and it’s already happening. Thanks to the vision and commitment of the On Lok Board, we have secured $60 million to finance the construction of two new PACE centers and begin renovations at existing sites. Now, we are calling on our broader community to help us raise the final $10 million to complete this transformative effort—and build a better tomorrow for underserved older adults.

Two new centers for communities that need them most

We have made significant progress on the construction of two brand new PACE centers: at 2600 Central Avenue in Union City and at 151 Martinvale Lane in South San Jose—regions with some of the greatest unmet need for senior care in the Bay Area (see renderings above). These two new centers will expand our service footprint in Alameda and Santa Clara counties, where we are currently supporting the community with one On Lok PACE center in Fremont and two On Lok PACE centers in San Jose.

Backed by over 54 years of experience and innovation in elder care center design and operations, each of the two new locations will serve up to 400 participants.  We expect to open these two new centers in early 2026.

Revitalizing our existing centers

As we grow, we are also investing in our seven existing On Lok PACE centers, to ensure they remain vibrant, welcoming, and equipped to meet the full range of care needs—from active older adults to elders with more complex conditions. These improvements include modernizing the infrastructure, updating spaces, and enhancing comfort for current and future participants.

Expanding core programs and partnerships

Your generosity also fuels the growth of life-changing programs and partnerships, including:

  • Openhouse + On Lok Community Day Services (Club 75), to support LGBTQ+ older adults with care and community

  • Nutrition and food security, to ensure access to healthy meals, delivered at home or enjoyed with peers

  • Education programming, to expand lifelong learning programs that help navigate the challenges of aging

Join us in making a lasting difference

This is our moment to come together and raise $10 million to meet our goals. With our proven model, compassionate care, and deep community roots, we can transform lives not just today, but for generations to come.

We invite you to be part of this exciting work: together, we can make a difference for our communities. Together, we are building tomorrow—one center, one program, one life at a time. n
